When you load a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) into SDS Connect it automatically reads the SDS and extracts the relevant information to determine if it’s a dangerous good. If it is a dangerous good it extracts key data from SDS to identify and classify the product, such as UN Number, Proper Shipping Name, Class and Packing Group.
You can load as many SDSs into the system as your business requires.
A key feature of SDS Connect is that we have a one to many relationships between SDSs and your products, so when an SDS needs to be updated you just do it once.
There are easy to use views in the system where you can sort and search for your SDSs via a variety of means. You can also access SDSs from your product records as they are related in the system.
Yes – you download copies of the SDSs as PDFs at any time from any SDS record in the system. You can also download key SDS data in MS Excel format if you want to a dump of data out of the system based on filters you have applied to any search.
Yes – there is a bulk import function in the system that allows you to import multiple SDS. You can then also run a Product import as well to join the SDS and Product records together.
Yes – there is a default report in the system that you can run on demand that displays the data. If you have provided quantities as well in SDS Connect the report will summarise this data as well by dangerous goods class and packing group.
When you import SDS files the system automatically checks if that file is already in SDS Connect. If it is already in the system then you are notified and allows you to replace the file already there or choose not to import it.
